Back in 2012, before the release of Egg Baby, Nix Hydra was a shared dream of Yale grads Lina Chen and Naomi Ladizinsky. They wanted to make games for teenage girls & young women not just because it is an underserved market, but because those are the games they love to play.  With some early support, Lina and Naomi were able to work with a small, talented team out of a tiny office in Hollywood to release Egg Baby—a virtual pet egg that hatches into different creatures based on your care.

Egg Baby was an instant success, enabling us to work with Foundry Group, a VC group based in Boulder, Colorado. As we grew, we worked on several new projects, including the visual novel The Arcana—a tarot-based fantasy/romance. Originally released as a short demo put together by an artist and a writer, The Arcana has become a sensation thanks to our dedicated team and active fan community.

Now we are growing, building out The Arcana and FictIf, and creating more projects to entertain and delight our people around the world. We are grateful to everyone who has been a part of our story, and look forward to the chapters to come!
