Some Eggs might like to sleep more while others may require more cleaning or feeding.  They also have varying incubation times.  Each Egg type has a difficulty rating based upon the overall amount of attention it needs and how durable it is.

Personality Types

There are six “personalities” that your Egg may develop:

Normal:  Normal eggs are well rounded and mentally stable.  They enjoy long rolls on the beach and good food with good friends.  Normal eggs hatch into cheerful, approachable creatures.

Cute: Cute eggs run entirely on sunshine and rainbows.  They love sweets, fluffy things, and tea parties.  Cute eggs hatch into adorable, carefree creatures.

Pretty: Pretty eggs have a well developed sense of style, aesthetics, and social delicacy.  They are often found at cafes writing poetry and ordering the local, organic fruit tart.  Pretty eggs hatch into graceful, artistic creatures.

Athletic: Athletic eggs are sporty in every sense of the word. They are very active, coordinated, and enjoy a healthy dose of friendly competition.  Athletic eggs hatch into solid, powerful creatures.

Nerdy: Nerdy eggs love to learn and explore their environment.  However, they tend to get so involved in their hobbies and pursuits that pretty much everyone is tired of hearing about it.  Nerdy eggs hatch into enthusiastic, clever creatures.

Dark: Dark eggs are just trying to figure out their place in this dark, uncomfortable world.  They are often found moodily gazing out an attic window on rainy afternoons.  Dark eggs hatch into tormented, thoughtful creatures.

An egg will form one of these personalities based off of all your interactions!  What you feed it, what you clean it with, what it wears, etc. all make a difference.  And as you may very well know, the variation of the Creature that hatches from your egg is determined by its personality.  Can you hatch one of each personality type for every Egg?

A Creature is the crowning moment in the time raising your Egg.  As noted above, there are various Egg types and personality types which all play role in what kind of Creature you get when an Egg hatches.  All the Creatures from a given Egg type will have a common theme to their appearance associated to the Egg type.  And each creature gives you rewards while it is in your Backyard.  The rewards vary and so does the frequency in which they give them.  More expensive/difficult Eggs will hatch Creatures that give you more valuable rewards.  Additionally, every Creature gives you an instant gift of coins when it hatches.  These coins allow you to immediately put them back into buying another Egg(s).

Sorry, no listing and images of the Creatures here :(  That’s the surprise when you hatch an Egg!  Be sure to check out the Creature Encyclopedia in the game though for a complete checklist and details about all of the amazing Creatures you can hatch in Egg Baby.

Q: How do I get more coins in the game?

A-1: Keeping your Egg well cared for is a great way to earn money in the game.  Remember, every Egg you have rewards you with coins based off of how well you take care of it.  Keeping each of the meters at the top of the light purple area with the little icon green will continually give you coins (i.e. – good egg & not so good egg).  And as long as the Egg does not have a dirt spot or rash it will reward you for that too.  Harder difficulty Eggs will generally give you coins more frequently than easier Eggs.  Most Eggs require a lot of attention (read: not just once a day) so make sure you visit them often!

A-2: Play some mini games with your egg! Remember you can only play mini games when your egg is well cared for.  The better you are at these mini games, the more coins you earn.

A-3: Some eggs will reward you with a large number of coins when it hatches.  In addition, all the Creatures in Egg Baby will give you rewards in your Backyard.  Rewards can be many things but generally take the form of a useful item or coins.  More expensive Eggs will give you better rewards.  Visit your backyard often, even if your Egg(s) does not need caring for.  Creatures give rewards at varying times, but won’t give you a new one until you have collected the previous one.  For example, a Creature might give you a cleaning item once every 12 hours, but if you only collect the item once every 24 hours you will have missed out on one cleaning item you could have received.  Don’t lose those freebies!

A-4: Visit the Piggy Bank where you will find a variety of coin packs for sale.  It’s a great way to be a bit more flexible in your spending or accelerate the rate in which you can buy more baskets and different Eggs.

Q: I think something is wrong with my game! Should I delete it and reinstall it???

A: NO! Please visit our Support page to get help with Egg Baby before deleting. If you delete Egg Baby, you will lose ALL your eggs, creatures, and single-use items such as the Cosmic Life Elixir and coin packs. :(

Q: How do I get my money out of that darn flying purple pig?!?

A: Don’t panic, that flying purple pig is your Piggy Bank.  All coins that you get from special rewards or acquire with an in app purchase go to the Piggy Bank.  These coins are used automatically when you run out of your other coins.  Just pretend like the two amounts are one big pile of coins.  We promise there is a reason for having two separate piles of coins

Q: Can my egg die?

A: YES!  If you don’t take care of it enough (make sure all the meters are green and that it is cleaned regularly), your egg’s health meter will start going down.  Once it has no more health bars left, your egg will die and there is no way to revive it.  However, if you have been away from the egg for a while and discover that its health bars have dropped, you can give your egg medicine to refill its health bars and avoid tragedy.

Q: How do I give my egg medicine?

A: Just drop the item you have purchased onto the Egg!

Q: I forgot how to put my Egg to sleep, what’s the trick again?

A: While looking at your device, rock it side-to-side and the Egg will rock with your motion.  After a short time, your Egg will begin to close its eyes and fall asleep.

Q: I forgot how to wake my Egg, can you refresh my memory?

A: It’s easy, just shake your device while viewing the Egg in the Bedroom.

Q: Why can’t I feed my Ghost Egg?

A: Ghost Eggs do not require food.  They are ghosts!  They will always reward you with a coin for properly maintaining their energy even though you do not have to do anything!

Q: My Egg hatched and now I can’t find any of the items it was wearing.  Where did they go?

A: Good question.  The answer is that all of the items that an Egg has on when it hatches stay with the Egg.  Your Egg is immortalized in the Creature Encyclopedia with how it looked when it hatched.  Also, don’t forget that what the Egg is wearing when it hatches can greatly influence its personality.  So trying to change the way your Egg looks at the last second may have unintended and unexpected results.

Q: Where is the Hatch Button?

A: The Hatch Button only appears after your egg is ready to hatch, in place of where the hatch time countdown was.  That is, it does NOT speed up hatching time.  In fact, it allows you to decide if you want to hatch your egg when it is ready or keep it as a pet for a bit longer.  Remember to keep taking care of your egg even when it is ready to hatch, otherwise it will lose health and eventually die.

Q:  I can take care of my eggs just fine without any reminders.  How do I turn off the push notifications?

A:  Go into the Egg Baby settings and toggle the notifications icon (a device with an exclamation point inside it) off.

Q: Are there going to be more things to do in Egg Baby in the future?

A: Hopefully, yes!  This is all dependent upon the continued interest and support that Egg Baby gets from you the player though!  Check our Facebook page, Twitter feed, our Instagram, or this website for updates.

Q: What happened to my eggs in the Haunted House after the trial ended?

A: You'll be able to access the Haunted House how you left it if you purchase it. If you do not purchase it, you can visit the Haunted House with every full moon!

Q: What do the different egg balloons mean in the Sleeping Mini Game?

A: Each of the 6 Egg personality types are present in balloon form during the Sleeping Mini Game. If you cut a rope of a particular personality enough times, your Egg's personality will change to that one!

Q: (Android users) I just installed the Egg Baby app, but all I see is a black screen when I try to open it. Help???

A: The error that you are receiving is generally caused by one of three issues. Please review the common causes below and let us know if you are still unable to get the game to install and run correctly by contacting us at our Support page.

  1. Sometimes the Android installer does not work correctly and requires the game to be uninstalled, downloaded, and installed again. Please note that any and all saved information that you might have will be deleted when doing so.
  2. There is not enough free space on your device or the SD card you are installing to. The Android installer might have mistakenly thought that there was enough room if the amount of space was very close. Please note that you should have at least 300MB of free space BEFORE installing Egg Baby.
  3. The device you are installing to for some reason was not properly filtered by the Google Play store and is not compatible with the game. The game requires a device with an ARMv7 based processor in order to play.
